![]() This period in Japan’s history was marked by plenty of political and social upheaval and the resulting military conflicts that resulted until the Tokugawa shogunate unified the country. That being said, I actually am a much bigger fan of the Sengoku Japan setting found in Samurai Warriors and Nobunaga’s Ambition. Between Dynasty Warriors and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, that era, and this historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms has proven to be fertile material indeed. I believe the Three Kingdoms period of China has proven to be the most popular setting for Koei Tecmo over the years. Related reading: On Samurai Warriors and historical accuracy – they’re actually far more in tune with one another than people give them credit for. However, as with the sports franchise, fans don’t seem to care about the frequency of releases, and I can say that with Samurai Warriors 4-II, the Warriors fans will have a great time with it. “More of the same” is something I hear far too often when people talk about the Warriors titles. In that way, it is similar to the treatment a lot of sports titles get with the annual releases. ![]() The Warriors games have their critics for the rapid rate in which they release.
